The Bible Grab and Go Checklist History

Upon becoming convicted that I needed to witness about Jesus, I felt very nervous. I read quite a few books, took several evangelism courses, and, even taught witnessing Bible courses. I was continually looking for a better way to not only shift from the secular to the spiritual realm in daily conversation, but to be able to walk through Bible Scripture so that the other person would understand the Gospel message. I did extensive testing of these other ideas in the field (even internationally). Although each system had some great ideas, I found something was missing: simplicity.

Then it hit me. Having been an airline pilot for over twenty-three years, I am used to using checklists in life or death flight emergencies. Why not have a simple salvation checklist that could reach others in this spiritual life or death struggle? With the Bible "Grab and Go Checklist" system, all you need to do is follow the checklist through to its conclusion. By using the Bible checklist, one can concentrate on what the other person is saying rather than be thinking about what one needs to do next.

May God bless you in your work of making disciples of all nations. Just know that you must always be ready to witness to everyone of the hope that you have. You must do this both in season and out of season and without delay. None of us knows how long we have on this earth. Eternity is a long time to be wrong!

I'm writing this letter to let you know how nice those Bibles that you have are. When Betty and myself went on vacation we took one along with us, it was very easy to carry. Then for Christmas we gave some as presents, we knew that they probably didn't have a Bible in their house. Most of the ones that received them were very happy to have them. I showed them how to use them. So if and when they want to come out of the darkness or if they want to use it in their witness mission, they have a good tool to use.

Thanks for your encouragement. Last week we had a new guy start here. He didn't have a Christian or church background, but he believed in god, heaven and hell. He initially thought he was going to heaven because he tries to be a good person. I took him through [the Grab and Go Checklist system]. He was very open to talk and said that it really made sense. Today he said he and his wife drove by our church this week and they are coming on Sunday. I was able to give him a Seeker Bible, which he gladly took. We can't even imagine what God is doing behind the scenes. Souls are so valuable aren't they my brother!!
